Tooli has two new entry points, so you can reach it from any screen in Toolio without going back to the top bar.
Keyboard shortcut.
Press Cmd + J
on Mac, or Ctrl + J
on Windows, to open Tooli from anywhere. Press it again to close. It works on every screen, including while you are inside a grid.Launcher.
A round Tooli button now sits in the lower right of the window. Click it to open Tooli, and drag it to whichever corner suits you. Toolio remembers where you left it, and it steps out of the way while Tooli is open.The Tooli button in the top bar is unchanged, so nothing you already do has to change.
What you can do
- Open Tooli in the middle of an edit, ask about the numbers in front of you, and close it with the same keystroke.
- Move the launcher clear of a wide grid once, and find it in the same place next time.
- Skip the trip to the header on a smaller screen, where the top bar is furthest from where you are working.
Why it helps
Most of the questions planners bring to Tooli come up in the middle of something else, and every extra click is a reason not to ask. Putting Tooli one keystroke or one click from wherever you already are makes it part of planning rather than a place you go.
