What's new
Conditional formatting rules can now compare a metric with another metric, not just with a number you type. For example, you can highlight the weeks where ST Buffer Units is greater than Min Pres Units, or where Target ST differs from Projected ST.
What you can do
- Pick "Another metric" as the comparison– When you set a rule's condition, switch from "A value" to "Another metric" and choose the metric to compare against.
- Use four comparisons– Is equal to, is not equal to, is less than and is greater than.
- Compare like with like– Each cell is checked against the other metric for the same row, period and scenario. The list only offers metrics of the same type (units with units, percentages with percentages), and your view's metrics are listed first.
- See it update as you edit– Change the other metric in the grid and the highlighting refreshes on its own, no reload needed.
- Keep it in Excel– Exported files carry the same highlighting.
- Use it across planning grids– Available in Merchandise Plan, Item Plan, Allocation, Assortment Plan Reporting, the Offering Metrics and Size Plan panels, and Hindsighting.
Why it helps
- See at a glance which of two metrics wins in a week, without adding helper metrics or checking cell by cell.
- Spot where a target has drifted from its projection as soon as it happens.
- Rules stay correct as the plan changes, since they compare live values instead of a fixed number.
